Jacob Payne blogs at the left leaning site "PageOneKentucky". He is not the least bit shy about calling out waste, fraud and abuse when he sees it.
He is now hot on the tail of Todd Hollenbach, Kentucky's state treasurer, for collecting his pay but doing no work.
Payne has made an open records request for the kind of evidence to support his suspicions. Now he is alleging that Hollenbach is actively conspiring to prevent disclosure of public records to hide his misdeeds.
According to Payne, Hollenbach has even consulted with attorney general Jack Conway seeking a legal opinion which will help him avoid disclosing the evidence Payne thinks will be evident once the documents and videos are discovered.
Payne has been instrumental in the discovery of other cases of alleged misconduct, not the least of which was the controversy over Robert Felner, former Interim Dean at U of L. Payne has also taken both republicans and democrats to task for campaign violations and other issues on his blog.
His most recent allegations regarding Hollenbach follow closely on the heels of his report that Governor Steve Beshear may be still consorting with "payday lenders" despite his public statements to the contrary.
