In his conference call with the media today, Dr. Rand Paul of Bowling Green Kentucky made it pretty clear, he is seriously considering becoming a candidate for the United States Senate despite what decision two term incumbent Jim Bunning makes between now and August 20th.
In a press call to which members of the new media were invited questions mostly centered on Dr. Paul's plans, his status as a party "outsider", his upcoming appearances on Glenn Beck, and perhaps at this year's Fancy Farm picnic.
The conference call lasted a little over 30 minutes and from all appearances Paul will be in the race for good in a matter of weeks.
Soon thereafter he has organized a "money bomb" when he says his goal will be to raise one million dollars in a single day.
His comments about Trey Grayson also seemed to suggest that Dr. Paul believes he may be running against both Bunning and Grayson in a republican primary.
Actually, Trevor Lyman organized the money bomb.
