Obama To Name Woman Governor, Janet Napolitano, To Head Homeland Security
Janet Napolitano, governor of Arizona, has been named by the Obama team as their selection to head up the department of homeland security. Napolitano has a strong anti-crime record and pushed for increased homeland security reporting opportunities in her home state.
Despite her experience and her accomplishments, in addition to her sometimes more conservative views on issues like gun control (she opposes it) or her more liberal views on the right to life (she is staunchly pro-abortion) I'm warning you to be prepared; The topic which will likely get more blog traffic than any other for the next few days will be the ongoing debate whether she is gay or not.
If you'd like to see and hear from Governor Napolitano and Governor Palin in the same room, here is a video of their interview in 2007 with Charlie Rose.
