President Bush is lame duck, Barack Obama has not taken office, Harry Reid didn't get the seats he needed, Nancy Pelosi still has the Senate to deal with and right there, in the way of complete democratic domination is the one of the most skillful politicians in America and now undeniably the most powerful republican in America, Kentucky's own, Mitch McConnell.

Socialism, the fairness doctrine, tax increases and government give away programs all have to go through Mitch now.

Bruce Lunsford made a hard run but in the end little ol' Kentucky kept its clout.

This is a state-wide community bereft of responsibility for its collective future. When its citizens seekout and vote for issues that insure their continued penury at the hands of those they chose, it is a sad day for democracy. Especially that you sit there in your smug and anonymous ignorance, proud of hindering progress.

In all your ignoble stupidity, how do you propose to repay Mr.Shrub's war debt, reduce the national debt, reduce the budget shortage, repair our transportation infrastucture, ship jobs overseas, buy all the goods shipped back here to maintain our cultural standard of living, cut taxes on those who are left with employment, maintain veterans' benefits, Social Security, Medicare, Police, Fire & other Public Protection mandates by ... eliminating taxes altogether? Or by only taxing the poor who can't afford to buy a Republican?

The only thing that amazes me is that you're for sale to the highest bidder - with your collective track record I wouldn't have been surprised by selling out to the lowest bidder or just the first.
