Mongiardo Slapped With Federal Elections Fine
Disquieting information from the FEC reveals that Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo has apparently been slapped with a hefty fine relating to his 2004 U.S. Senate race. According to FEC records, the fine was paid in October 2007.
For some reason Mongiardo has kept his FEC account open despite the fact that his campaign ended in 2004 when he was defeated by two term United States Senator and Baseball Hall of Fame Pitcher Jim Bunning.
Mongiardo's 2007 year end report, the first page of which displays a receipt date of February 2008, also discloses that Mongiardo's campaign still carries over $600,000.00 dollars of debt.
With rumors of back room money deals flying around Frankfort, and Mongiardo carrying over a half million dollars in debt from an eight year old campaign, Daniel Mongiardo's FEC violations certainly deserve closer scrutiny.

Marc,
Thank you for bringing things like this to the forefront. It is issues such as these that have plagued the newly elected but seasoned corruption that this crew brings to Frankfort.
Oh, by the way, I heard it is your birthday today. Happy Birthday!!
Keep up the good work.
